Welcome to Historic Media
Bringing History to Life.....

Historic Media Productions was created by freelance presenter & producer James Balme following his amazing discovery of the previously unknown Bronze age settlement and Roman fortlet in the village of Warburton.

Following the highly successful archaeological documentary " The King’s Grave " starring Granada TV’s Fred Talbot and co- presented by James and produced by Paul walker Productions James decided that he should launch his own production company.

Since that time James has written and produced his own films and documentaries and has recently completed a series of short films for Middlewich Town council highlighting the ancient roman fort that was discovered in the town in 1993.

These films are now on permanent public display at the Roman exhibition situated in Middlewich library and can be viewed free of charge during opening hours.

James will also be making a public appearance at the Middlewich Roman Festival over the weekend of the 27th & 28th September 2003 at Harbutt’s field where he will be hosting the "Historic Media" road show and please feel free to come down and say hello.

Over the weekend Historic Media will be showing many of it’s productions and these will be available for purchase on both CD - Rom and video.

Also showing over the weekend will be the new Virtual reality reconstruction produced by Take 27 and will include the introduction film written & produced by Historic Media and narrated by eminent archaeologist Tim Strickland M.B.E..

Historic Media productions is a new force in the market and specialises purely in historical and archaeological films and documentaries.

Already commissioned by various town council departments to produce historical & heritage related features and films it is envisaged that Historic Media productions will in due course provide film & video services to many historical and archaeological bodies in the future.
